mail.google.com is currently unreachable.

On one IPv4 only server I am administrating, I see the same error messages all the time in /var/log/exim4/mainlog. Telnet: I don't think I have it installed. But the mails did not get to the desired recipient. I am getting other connection timed out errors too while attempting to send new mails.
